I didn't watch this years Superbowl as I know nothing about American Football and care about it even less. However, unsurprisingly I did read about MIAs middle finger in the media the next day. MIA was stood alongside Madonna performing her new song 'Give Me All Your Luvin' when she made the gesture to over 110 million viewers. A spokesmen for the NFL claimed "The obscene gesture in the performance was completely inappropriate, very disappointing and we apologise to our fans," The NFL had to issue an apology a few years back when Janet Jackson's nipple 'popped out.' I don't want to be a party-pooper but it all seems a little pre-meditated.
Another stunt-tastic event is the Video Music Awards, their headline-catching stunts are becoming more and more ridiculous.
